With Denver International Airport in the midst of a redevelopment project, Front Range Airport being named a Space Port and the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center planning to open this fall, it’s probably no surprise that developers, city officials and county officials are planning for the future of the area around DIA.
It took several years, but now things will move quickly just south of Denver International Airport, as more than 20,000 homes are planned and possibly tens of thousands of jobs expected as part of the Aerotropolis development.

With a bustling airport nearby and a couple busy highways, northeast Aurora seems ripe for large-scale development.
The vision for Aerotropolis is one step closer now that a funding mechanism for infrastructure is in place.
