The Aurora Highlands Wins “Community of the Year” at Denver MAME Awards, Among Other Top Honors

In its most celebrated showing at the Denver MAME Awards to date, The Aurora Highlands master-planned community earned a total of nine honors at Saturday night’s ceremony.

DENVER (November 18, 2024) – The Aurora Highlands has achieved a remarkable milestone, winning nine awards at this year’s Denver MAME Awards, including the coveted “Community of the Year” distinction. This marks a record-breaking evening for the master-planned community, which has enjoyed a year filled with transformative progress and accolades.

Hosted by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, the MAME Awards recognize excellence in the residential building, design and real estate industries. This year’s awards highlight the extraordinary accomplishments of The Aurora Highlands and its commitment to innovation, community engagement and creating an unparalleled living experience.

The Aurora Highlands received the following honors during the November 16 ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Denver:

The Aurora Highlands was awarded the top honor of the evening for the first time, solidifying its reputation as a transformative force in the Denver Metro Area. As the largest master-planned community under development in the region, The Aurora Highlands offers diverse housing options, with 13 collections from six premier homebuilders currently. The community also includes plans for four schools (one is already open), alongside future retail, office spaces, medical facilities and corporate campuses. The Aurora Highlands achieved major milestones in 2024, including the expansion of its celebrated public art park, the opening of a new interchange on E-470 and hosting a series of vibrant community events.

  • Best Community Amenity Feature (PICS)

For the second consecutive year, Hogan Park at Highlands Creek was honored with this MAME award. The expansive 100-acre, two-mile park has gained widespread acclaim for its dozens of awe-inspiring, large-scale art installations created by globally renowned artists. This year’s “Art in the Park”installations include the striking 25-foot-tall sculpture “Broken but Together” by Michael Benisty, the poignant statue of Colorado’s first Black female doctor, Dr. Justina Ford, by Gillie and Marc and an illuminated mural, “The Only Way Out is Through”, by Olivia Steele and Snyder. Designed as a welcoming space for all, the park currently features scenic overlooks and walking paths. Future enhancements will include a zip line, slides, gardens and a linear challenge course.

Director of Marketing Lisa Browne received this award for the second time for her work with The Aurora Highlands, celebrating her visionary leadership in growing the community’s visibility and success. Her efforts have driven numerous marketing achievements, culminating in several awards during the evening.

TheAuroraHighlands.com is a user-friendly, beautifully designed website that serves as a comprehensive resource for all things related to The Aurora Highlands. It offers easy access to home builder details, community amenities, artist bios and more, while also showcasing live construction video, interactive maps and project updates. “The View From Here” print advertisement highlights The Aurora Highlands’ unique blend of mountain views and an art-infused community. With striking visuals of landscapes, parks and the iconic “Umi” installation, it showcases a vibrant lifestyle where nature and creativity thrive.

  • Best Digital Marketing Campaign (PIC)

The Bridgewater Homes digital marketing campaign spotlighted the emotional significance of semi-custom homeownership. Anchored by a compelling short film and supported by digital ads, banners and animated content, the campaign showcased homes as a canvas for life’s milestones.

This Bridgewater marketing video was the centerpiece of a campaign to highlight The Aurora Highlands’ semi-custom homebuilding program. It explores the deep emotional significance of homeownership with poetic storytelling and stunning visuals, portraying a home as the foundation for life’s most cherished memories.

The Model Home Tour & Market in the Alley July 2024 promotion offered homebuyers a chance to win $5,000 towards a down payment by touring 34 stunning model homes. Paired with a vibrant local event featuring artisans, food and live music, the promotion attracted buyers and boosted community engagement. A robust marketing campaign amplified its success, driving foot traffic and excitement.

  • Best Use of Technology (PIC)

The Aurora Highlands’ broker app gives real estate agents exclusive early access to events, homesites, builders and amenities, along with features like 360-degree tours and an interactive map. With 600+ users and rave reviews, this innovative tool boosts broker engagement and loyalty while showcasing the community’s unique offerings.

The Aurora Highlands was also honored for its commitment to blending art and community, earning recognition from the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts with the Arts and Business Partnership Award and from the Aurora Chamber of Commerce with the Arts + Business Connection Award.
